How do you use your Formal Dining Room?

Hmm....what to do with this dining room we never use......

Was your home originally built with a Formal Dining Room Space? Do you use that room as a formal dining room, or have you found a new use for that space? I think a formal dining room space is wonderful, a great place to eat special dinners and have dinner parties. However, if you don't ever use the dining room then why let the room sit there unused.

I love a formal dining room, sitting pretty and waiting for a special occasion.

But maybe I would rather have a living room that is a bit more formal than the great room.

You can never have too many reading rooms to hold all your books.

Sometimes we might really need an incredible office space.

 

Perhaps you have little one's in need of a play space. The location of the dining room would be a great place to be able to keep an eye on them. Also if you had some French doors you could easily close the doors when it gets to be just a bit overwhelming.

Depending on the location, you might be able to close the dining room up altogether and make it part of your master bedroom, and get that incredible closet you have always wanted.

A lot of people love doing crafts but they just don't have any space, so why let that seldom used dining room go to waste. You could have endless projects in a room the size of most dining rooms.
