HGTV Three Remaining Designers AND Brother vs Brother

There are three remaining designers on HGTV and I thought I would share a little extra about them. They are all very talented and already very successful in their design careers.

Brooks Atwood is heavily educated with a B.A. in architecture and a M.A. in advanced architectural design.and has been highly recognized and awarded for numerous designs. He describes his style as futuristic and avant-garde. He is a professor of Industrial Design at N.J. Institute of Technology and he owns his own design firm, "Pod-Design." All photos are Via his website which you can see more of here.

Lets just say he is highly talented.

Jeribai Tascoe has a varied background from construction, to CAD, to personal training. Well we now know where his skills as a tile layer, wood re-finisher, and his love for boxing comes from. His design company, "Life By Design," offers everything from interior design, to clothing design, to web design. Jeribai is also a drummer. All the photographs below are from his website which you can find here.

Tiffany Brooks background is in residential property management and staging and she has her own design firm, "You and Your Decor." Some of the photographs are from her website which you can find here.  And some photographs are from HGTV Design Star. Tiffany painted the painting above the sofa.

Are you excited as me about seeing the design of the final show this coming Sunday? The challenge for the final competition is to design a hotel suite at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, which includes a sleeping area, a work area and a lounge area into the designers interpretation of a mid-century modern space. Who do you think will be the new HGTV Design Star?

Right after the final show of HGTV Design Star is, "Brother vs Brother." The twin brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott, who you probably already know from the, "Property Brothers," will be mentoring and leading the two teams of home improvement experts who are competing for a grand prize of $50,000. and of course the bragging rights as the winner of this challenge. There will six episodes and each week they will be judged. I am hoping that this show will be informative as well as entertaining, and that I will learn some new skills while being entertained. I love seeing spaces redesigned, renovated and decorated so I think I will love this show. Will you be tuning in for, "Brother vs Brother??

If you would like to see a sneak peek of the show of Brother vs Brother then peek here.

    1. Hey Diane: The last show of HGTV Design Star is Sunday night & yes I am excited. The new show Brother vs Brother is right after Design Star and I think I am just as excited about that show. Thank you for forwarding my post to your daughter, the future architect! She might really appreciate the Brother vs Brother show, although renovation, not new construction, she might find a great deal of ideas and be entertained at the same time. Looking back I probably should have studied architecture, but that was a pretty rare thing for a girl to study when I went to school. It is a different day now!!
      Thanks, Patty

  2. I just watched the finale and I think the right person won, although they are all super talented. It was nice reading this and learning more about the designers. This year, for some reason, I didn't watch any of the episodes except the finale so I had no background whatsoever.

    1. I love watching design shows, and there aren't many to choose from these days. I think that Tiffany probably fits the HGTV audience the best and therefore was probably the best choice.
      Thanks, Patty
