This fictional house is located at 55 Tradd Street, but it is based on a house she saw in Charleston at 125 Tradd Street. The mystery part of the story is that, "Melanie," the main character can communicate with ghost, but if ghost stories aren't your usual cup a tea, then don't let that stop you from reading this book because, it is not my cup of tea either, but the ghost in her novel aren't going to make you not want to continue to read this incredible novel. If you love old houses, renovation, real estate, a little bit of a mystery and Charleston, SC well then this book is for you.
This is the house that the book was based on at 125 Tradd Street. Karen describes the house in detail in her book. Don't you just want to go sit on one of the three piazzas and grab her book and a glass of ice tea and enjoy the day. The door you see faces the side street, and the front of the house faces Tradd Street.

I think I need to arrange a trip to Charleston, SC. It reminds me a lot of New Orleans, and all of the amazing historical homes there.
Have you ever renovated a home? If so I would love for you to tell me about your experience.
