Decorating My Bar Cart

My Bar Cart isn’t really a cart.
It doesn’t have wheels.
It is a table with a mirror inset top.
I wish it had a lower shelf.
I originally bought the bar table for my dining room but now it sits in my foyer.
So I can immediately offer you a drink – just kidding.
I change this table up often – today it is actually a bar cart.
My foyer is very small and so it is impossible to get a full shot.
barcart1 I filled it with liquor bottles.
I love the vibrancy of all of the colors.
Are you energized by color?

I have had the two matching lamps forever.
They are brushed bonze in color and they have frosted glass
on all four sides with a different drink recipe on each side.

I love pretty little napkins.
I can usually find some really nice ones at Tuesday Morning.
I use them for decorating as much as for their intended use.

My son gave me these pearlescent glasses.
He has a great eye for details.
I love how the color moves all about them.
barcart5 A close-up of the silver ice bucket shows the details of the grapes and the leaves.
I have a crystal ice bucket – somewhere.

I don’t drink brown liquor.
With the exception of dark rum in a tropical drink.
My husband however enjoys a little now and again.
What I do love is the color.
Have you ever tried to repeat the color of a liquid?
I love this golden brown sort of metallic glowing color.
It reminds me a bit of tobacco.

Do you have a table that you like to change up during the year?
I decorated this table for Christmas and you can see it here.
I also decorated it for the fall season and you can view that here.
I think I will leave it this way for awhile, at least until Valentine’s Day.

  2. I love how pretty your liquor cart is! I keep all mine hidden in a cupboard, except for the wine. Those lamps are so cool and retro!

    1. Mine is usually in the cabinet also, but I was cleaning it out and thought about how pretty the bottles were and decided to display them.

    1. Thanks Shirley! I got those lamps in Atlanta, years ago. I don't believe I have ever used them anywhere but on that cart. I might need to think of a new place for them down the road.

  4. Patty, those glasses are so pretty. I love the shape and the color! I also giggled at your joke about offering people a drink as soon as they enter! With the temps where they are today, that doesn't actually sound like a bad idea! ;)

    1. Thank you Kim. As cold as it is I need to offer them a coffee or hot chocolate and a blanket to stay warm. Will it ever warm up?
